Ford India out with new automatic variant
Ford India pleased one and all by launching its new automatic Powershift variant of the new Ford Fiesta 2012, at the Taj Palace( New Delhi), on the 28th February 2012.
The name Powershift was derived from the need to provide the comfort and ease of an automatic sedan, at affordable prices. Numerous new features have been introduced. Some of them are as follows:
Dual internal clutches: helps in smooth shifting
a) 6 speed AT-
b) Hill Grade Assist: easily tackles challenging terrains and hills, without allowing the vehicle to slip backwards
c) Voice control technology: for driving hands free, using Bluetooth.
d) Creep function: Allows the vehicle to be driven easily in crowded areas
e) Increase in fuel efficiency: a benchmark for other automatic sedans, with class leading figures of 16.97 kmpl.
f) Zero maintenance suspension: a warranty of 10 years, or 2.4 lakh kilometres, whichever is earlier.
g) Greater safety features: Dual airbags, high strength steel and boron steel protection for the body
h) Best in class NVH
Prices start at Rs 8.99 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi).
